Julie Mineart (Oskaloosa, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her tennis career at Northwestern College next year.

MineartMineart earned four letters while playing for Pella Christian High School and has spent the last three years as the top player for the Eagles. She has a 32-15 record the last three years and was the regional runner-up and state qualifier in 2007. This year, Mineart was the Johnston Tournament singles champion and is ranked 21st in the 2007 USTA 2007 Iowa Junior Ranking. An outstanding student who earned academic all-state honors, she plans to major in biology/health professions at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Steve and Joyce.

“I am excited that Julie has decided to join our program,” commented Head Coach Jeff Guthmiller.  “She will be a great addition, not only to the tennis program, but also in the classroom and across campus.  I look forward to her contributions.”
