Northwestern picked up three wins in singles play but lost to Morningside in women's tennis 5-4. The Red Raiders fall to 2-5 in the GPAC with one match left to play.
Kellie Korver, Nessa Summers and Bobbie Lydick all picked up wins in singles play. Summers evened her record at 5-5 with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Shannon Schroeder at #5 while Lydick also earned her fifth win of the year with an impressive 6-0, 6-4 win over Mary Horton at #6. Korver improved to 4-8 as she knocked off Kassie Heim, 7-5 and 6-3.
Korver and Jessica Pomerenke earned the lone victory for Northwestern in doubles play, defeating Marisa Graham/Lynn Leonard 8-2 at #2. They improved to 5-7 this season.
The Red Raiders will host Briar Cliff in the final regular season match of the year tomorrow at 4:00 pm.
