The Red Raiders closed their season last night with a 5-4 win over Buena Vista University in a non-conference women's tennis match played in Storm Lake, Iowa. NWC finishes the season with a 4-9 overall record.
Julie Mineart picked up wins in both #1 singles and #1 doubles to lead the Raiders. The freshman cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win over Katie Arentson and then teamed with Jessica Pomerenke to knock off Arentson and Nicole Hansen, 6-3 and 6-4. Rachel Hermann and Nessa Summers also won their respective singles' matches, in straight sets, at #4 and #6.
Summers teamed with Kate Mannenbach to pick up a 9-7 win at #3 doubles.
Northwestern closes the season with a 4-9 record and finished seventh in the GPAC at 3-6.
