Hannah Taylor (Ames, Iowa) has signed letters of intent to continue her soccer and track and field careers at Northwestern College next year. The daughter of Scott and Trudy, Taylor is a four-sport athlete for Gilbert High School. A 5-5 center midfielder, Taylor earned first team all-conference honors as a junior. She also was also the team captain for her club team last year.Taylor.jpg) “We are very excited Hannah is coming to play soccer next fall,” commented Head Coach T.J. Buchholz. “She is a great person and an outstanding soccer player. Hannah has great vision on the field and is a tremendous competitor. We look for Hannah to make an immediate impact in our program.” A two-year letter winner in track and field, Taylor was a member of the sprint medley team that broke the school record. She also qualified for state as a sophomore. Her personal bests include: 13.3 seconds in the 100m, 27 seconds in the 200m and ran the anchor leg in the 4x100m relay in 12.3 seconds. A member of the honor roll and academic all-state team, Taylor plans to major in English at Northwestern. “Hannah is a gifted athlete,” commented Head Track and Field Coach Nate Wolf. “She has the ability to have an immediate impact in the sprint events. She will be a great fit for Northwestern and we’re excited she has chosen to attend and compete for NWC.”
