Candice Bergst (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has signed a national letter of intent to continue her soccer career at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa beginning in the fall of 2008.

Bergst, the daughter of Mike and Cheri, is a goal keeper for Palmer High School.  Last season Bergst, 5-9, made 91 saves and allowed 18 goals, for 8-6 Palmer High School under head coach Jim Keller.  Last season Bergst was named team captain and earned her fourth varsity letter at Palmer.  She is a member of the Honor Society, Junior Honor Guard, and has earned Academic Letters.

Bergst plans to major in Biology and Chemistry at Northwestern.

"Candy is an excellent shot stopper and a tenacious competitor.  She will be a great addition to out team at the goal keeper position," said head coach TJ Buchholz.
