Apr 21 Soccer Coach Buchholz Resigns
T.J. Buchholz, the director of soccer at Northwestern, has resigned and taken the same position at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Last season, the men's team qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in school history, finished with a 12-8-1 record, and won the NAIA Region III Championship.  The women's team finished 7-10-1 and was 7-4-1 in the conference.


Jan 29 Taylor to Play Soccer and Run Track at Northwestern
Hannah Taylor (Ames, Iowa) has signed letters of intent to continue her soccer and track and field careers at Northwestern College next year.

The Raider women's soccer team fell to Morningside on Tuesday night, 4-1.


Oct 11 Northwestern Off To Best League Start In School History
Northwestern downed Briar Cliff in women's soccer 2-1 Wednesday night, thanks to a golden goal in double OT by Jamise Retzlaff.


Oct 9 Macy Rozeboom Earns GPAC Player of the Week
Macy Rozeboom, a 5'9" forward from Chino Hills, CA was named the GPAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.


Oct 8 Northwestern Stays Perfect in League Play, Defeats Doane 2-1.
Macy Rozeboom scored two goals for Northwestern, who improved to 6-0 in GPAC play and 6-6 on the season.

Today's soccer matches between Northwestern and USF will be played on Korver Field


Sep 27 NWC Defeats DWU 3-0, Salem Remains Perfect in GPAC Play.
Northwestern defeated Dakota Wesleyan 3-0 in women's soccer yesterday. Northwestern improves to 4-0 in GPAC play and 4-5 overall. DWU fell to 0-4 in GPAC play and 1-9 overall.


Sep 26 Northwestern Travels to Mitchell, S.D.
Northwestern women's soccer heads to Mitchell, South Dakota for their fourth conference game of the year.  The Red Raiders are currently tied for first place with a 3-0 record in league play.  Dakota Wesleyan brings a 0-3 GPAC record and a 1-8 overall record into today's match.  Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. at Cadwell Park.

Northwestern keeper Kelley Salem is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week.


Sep 24 Salem Picks Up Third GPAC Shut-Out in 2-0 Win
Northwestern sophomore goalkeeper Kelley Salem picked up her third GPAC shut-out and collected four saves as the Raider women's soccer team downed Concordia 2-0 in Orange City on Saturday afternoon.


Sep 21 Northwestern to take on Concordia Saturday
Northwestern (2-0, 2-5) and Concordia (0-2, 2-6) take on each other in a GPAC match on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. The match will be played at the Northwestern Soccer Complex.


Sep 19 Northwestern Gets Shut-Out Against Mount Marty
Northwestern scored a season high six goals and goalkeeper Kelley Salem recorded her second shut-out of the season in a 6-0 win over Mount Marty on Tuesday afternoon.


Sep 17 Northwestern drops match to Bellevue
The women's soccer team fell 3-2 to Bellevue, after leading for over 80 minutes of the match.  Northwestern falls to 1-5 overall but stays 1-0 in GPAC play.


Sep 13 Northwestern Starts GPAC Season 1-0.
The Northwestern women's soccer team picked up a GPAC victory last night by defeating Nebraska Wesleyan 1-0. The Red Raiders improve to 1-4, and more importantly 1-0 in GPAC play.


Sep 12 Nebraska Welseyan Match Preview
Nebraska Wesleyan enters the game with a 1-3 overall record and a 0-1 GPAC record after falling to Morningside last Wednesday, 3-2.  Nebraska Wesleyan, while being 1-3, has out-shot their opponents 59-37 and has outscored their opponents 11-6.


Aug 17 Women's Soccer Preview
The 2007 women's soccer team will have a new head coach for the first time in four years as T.J. Buchholz takes over for Tom Cliff, who left to be the head women's soccer coach at Adams State College. Buchholz inherits a Raider team that set many school records in 2006.


Aug 8 Soccer Women Picked 5th in Preseason Poll
The Red Raider women's soccer team, which reached the regional tournament, for the first time in school history, in 2006, was picked to finish fifth in the 2007 GPAC pre-season poll.
