Northwestern wrestlers will take the matt for the first time this season, wrestling in the 1st annual NIACC Open.  The wrestling season begins with much anticipation after a very successful 2006-07 season under then first year head coach John Petty.  The Raiders will travel to Mason City, IA to compete against some of the top junior college teams in the nation and some very good NAIA schools, including the 2006 national champions.

"Goals for tomorrow will be to transfer the hard work at practice into a good effort during competition.  I want our efforts to match the work we have been putting in," said coach Petty.
