Seven Northwestern Wrestlers Earn All-GPAC Honors

Seven Northwestern wrestlers have earned All-GPAC honors, including Levi Price, Brian Heiberger, and Nic Leither, who all won a GPAC Championship at the GPAC Championships. Jerod Flores, David Carter, Brad Hughes, and Luke Evjen all earned Second Team honors.

Price (24-7) has been a GPAC champion three times, 2008-2009-2010. He is a four year letter winner, four time national qualifier, and 2008 All-American (6th place). Price has also been a team captain for three years. He is currently #1 in Northwestern wrestling history with 153 matches in his career and wins in a career with 115. He has accumulated 52 pins, second in program history.

The 2010 GPAC honors are the first of its kind for Heiberger (10-13). In his Northwestern career, he has been a two time national qualifier. He is currently a captain for the 2009-2010 squad.

Nic Leither (21-5) has earned two straight All-GPAC first team honors. The sophomore was a 2009 All-American and has qualified for this years national championships. He is also a 2009-2010 team captain.

Jerod Flores (18-8) earned second time honors as a freshman for Northwestern this season. The California native is a national qualifier at the 141 and 157 weight classes.

David Carter (17-14) earned All-GPAC honors for the first time in his career. He is a two time national qualifier (2008/2010). Carter is third all time at Northwestern for three point near falls with 55 for his career.

Brad Hughes (16-9) earned All-GPAC honors for the first time in his career. He is a two time national qualifier at heavyweight.

Luke Evjen (20-8) also earned All-GPAC honors for the first time in his career. He was a two time national qualifier at RCTC in Rochester and 2010 NAIA national qualifier.
