Senior wrestler Levi Price (Cannon Falls, Minn.) set the school record for wrestling wins in a career, capturing his 111th win in a 8-2 decision over Justin Truckenmiller of Morningside this past Saturday. Price finished 8th in the 2008 National Championships and was named an All-American that season. Last season he won the GPAC championship at 149 lbs. and he is currently ranked 7th in the NAIA.
Price won 24 matches in 2006-07 as a freshman, 36 in 2007-08 as a sophomore (tied for the fourth highest single season total), 30 as a junior in 2008-09 (tied for 10th highest single season total), and has won 21 matches this season as a senior. Price passed Jeff Vance and Tracy Ping with his 111th victory. Both Vance and Ping are in the Red Raider Hall of Fame.
Price, a biology education major, is currently student teaching at Sioux Center High School and plans to graduate this spring. Price is married to Lynn Price, is the son of Nick and Terry Price, and has one sibling; Candice.
