Dana College won the GPAC Wrestling Championship behind five individual champions and finished with 93 points. Morningside finished second with 81.5 team points and Northwestern finished in third with 77 points. Northwestern claimed two individual champions Levi Price at 149 lbs. and Enock Francois at 174 lbs. Tom Eaton, also wrestling at 174 lbs., won all of the matches he wrestled Saturday but forfeited the championship to Francois, thus finishing second. Lamar Reed came in second after losing to Bulla Tuzon (DAN) 4-3 in the championship at 157 lbs. DJ Jackson also finished second, losing 6-4 in the championship to Jason Bilinski (DAN), in the 157 lb. weight class. Junior Cole Spree finished third at 184 lbs.
Northwestern will next compete at the NAIA North Region Championships next weekend in Blair, Neb. All of the GPAC teams will be participating along with DIckinson State and Jamestown.
