Northwestern wrestlers will head to Mitchell, S.D. for the GPAC Championships tomorrow. Northwestern enters the Championships ranked 15th in the NAIA. Overall, four GPAC teams are ranked in the top 20: Morningside-12, Northwestern-15, Dana-16, and Dakota Wesleyan 20. Northwestern enters with three individuals ranked nationally; at 157 DJ Jackson is ranked eighth, at 165 Lamar Reed is ranked sixth, and at 174 Enock Francois is ranked third. They will be three of the eight nationally ranked wrestlers taking the mat in Mitchell on Saturday.

Sophomore DJ Jackson enters the meet with a 15 consecutive match win streak, teammates Lamar Reed (10 consecutive) and Levi Price (8 consecutive) are not far behind. They are three of the hottest wrestlers in the GPAC. Junior Enock Francois is 15-3 when he wrestles at 174 lbs. and has not lost a match at 174 lbs. since Jan. 18th.
Jackson leads Northwestern with 17 bonus points this season, followed closely by Tom Eaton with 14, Levi Price with 13, Lamar Reed with 13, and Daivd Carter with 11. Eaton leads the Red Raiders with 85 take downs and Jackson is second with 74. Price leads Northwestern with 11 falls.

After the GPAC Championships, Northwestern will head to Blair, Neb. for the NAIA North Region Championships on Feb. 23rd. The teams at the North Region Championships will be the GPAC teams plus #4 Dickinson State and #19 Jamestown.
