Northwestern finished 11th out of 24 teams with 60 points. Tyree Cox was the 174-pound champion, defeating 8th ranked Kevin Corbett of Doane by Fall in the title bout.
Northwestern sent 20 wrestlers to the Hastings Cusatis Open on Saturday. Randy Null and Austin Boles led the way for NWC, both going 3-2 on the day.
The Red Raider wrestling team wrapped up the first semester on the upswing after defeating Dakota Wesleyan, doing well at the BVU Open, and battling tough against #6 Concordia, losing a hard fought 23-13 dual.
Northwestern and Doane tied 19-19 after all the matches were complete, but fell 20-19 after the third tie breaker decided awarded Doane one point since they had scored 52 total match points against Northwestern's 51 match points.
Randy Null and Richard Ortiz lead Raiders at Auggie-Adidas Open. Null finished in second place of the Gold Division's 184 lb. weight class while Ortiz won a consolation championship in the Gold Division at 133 lbs.
