Red Raiders Earn Road Win Over Nebraska Wesleyan

Northwestern College picked up a 6-3 win over former GPAC-rival Nebraska Wesleyan this afternoon in Lincoln, Neb. The Red Raiders improve to 3-2 on the year. 

Freshman Yemisi Ayeni picked up wins at both the top singles and doubles slots to lead the Red Raiders. Ayeni picked up her team-leading fourth singles' win in defeating Bridget McKeegan in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1. She them teamed with freshman Zoe Holscher for an 8-2 win in doubles, improving their record to 3-2. 

Kendra McGinnis improved to 3-2 in singles play, defeating Tori Van De Veer 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3. Northwestern also picked up three wins by forfeit, No. 5 and 6 singles, No.3 doubles.

Northwestern will play Central and Simpson next weekend in the final tune-ups before GPAC play.
