Northwestern closed its regular season with a 9-0 win over Buena Vista in a non-conference women's tennis match played in Orange City, Iowa. The Red Raiders improve to 6-10 overall as they head into the conference tournament later this week in Fremont, Neb.
Three of the six singles' matches went to a third-set as Terry Odera, Jami Koens and Missy Yorchak all earned wins after a tie-break. Amanda Bueltel earned her team-high ninth win in singles' play with a straight set win at #6 singles. Frankie Eszes returned to the line-up and earned an impressive 6-2, 6-2 win at #1 singles. Hannah Stark also picked up a straight set win.
Eszes and Odera combined for an 8-0 victory to improve their record to 4-1 in the top doubles' spot. Koens/Yorchak improved to 2-3 with an 8-2 win at #2 doubles and Yorchak/Stark earned their fifth win of the season at #3 doubles.
