Raiders Take On Dakota Wesleyan

Northwestern (4-8-1, 2-2-1) takes on Dakota Wesleyan (6-6, 2-2) Friday evening in a key GPAC match for both teams. NWC has just one loss in their last five matches while DWU has been shut-out in their last two matches after going on a six game winning streak.

Scouting Dakota Wesleyan

DWU's offense features the NAIA's top goal scorer in Megan Johnson. Johnson has scored 22 goals this season in 12 matches. The Tigers have scored 32 times as a team and they have allowed 33 goals. Thara Ali Said has scored seven times and Maranda Ehrenfried has scored twice. Those three players have combined for 31 of the team's 32 goals and 12 of the teams 15 assists. DWU has been out-shot 225-140 this year and 121-76 in shots on goal. 

Cici Schneider has started ten of the Tiger's 12 matches. She has allowed 28 goals and has made 75 saves to go with one shut-out. DWU has made 27 corner kicks and has allowed 48.

Scouting Northwestern

The Red Raider attack is led by Tyler Farr. Farr has scored 11 goals and is third in the GPAC in goals scored. She is second on the team with four assists and has collected 26 points this year. Mattie Ostrowski leads the offense with five assists. Ostrowski has scored twice this season. Madison Bertman has scored three goals and is second on the team, she has also made two assists. Jahdai Dunk has scored two goals and has made three assists.

Naomi Schimmel has made eight starts in goal and has allowed 16 goals while making 38 saves. Jennifer Inge has started in five matches and has made 48 saves while allowing 16 goals. Both Inge and Schimmel have made one shut-out this season. NWC has forced 43 corner kicks and have allowed 82.

Northwestern returns to the pitch on Oct. 18th against Concordia in Seward, Neb.
