All-Time...Northwestern has won the last 10 match-ups against Doane and leads the all-time series 29-22, dating back to the 1986 season.

Scouting Doane...The Tigers opened the season with a convincing 104-55 win over Bethany (Kan.) but have lost three games since, dropping to 1-3 on the year. Close losses to Tabor (Kan.) and Saint Xavier (Ill.) sandwich a 66-49 setback to Valley City State on a neutral floor.

Tracee Fairbanks has been in charge of the Tigers' women's basketball program since 1999, beginning her 16th year on the bench. She guided Doane to back-to-back national tournaments in 2005 and 2006 and returns four starters and 10 players off a 2013-14 team that tied Briar Cliff for seventh place with a 7-13 record, 14-16 overall. Doane was picked seventh in the GPAC preseason poll.

Doane is shooting 39% from the field en route to scoring 77 points per game. The Tigers are second in the league with a +9 rebound margin and rank ninth in the NAIA with 73 offensive rebounds.

Hannah Dostal, a four-year starter and three-time all-conference pick, leads the team in scoring at 18 points per game. The senior is shooting 48% from the field and is second on the team in rebounding, averaging 7.8 boards per game. Freshman McKenna Dodd scores 12.5 points per game and is the top perimeter threat, making 10 three-pointers on the year. Heather Broman scores nine points and pulls down a team-best eight rebounds per game. Broman was an all-conference pick last year.

Northwestern News and Notes...The Red Raiders are off to a 2-0 start, defeating Grand View and Grace University last week. Northwestern was ranked 15th in the NAIA D-II preseason coaches' poll, one of four GPAC teams in the initial top 25.

Northwestern ranks second in the NAIA in scoring (102ppg) and is fourth in the nation with a 53% field goal percentage. They are the top rebounding team in the NAIA and also lead the nation in three-point percentage (53%).

Karen Ettleman leads the team in scoring, averaging 29 points per game. A two-time all-conference selection, Ettleman is shooting 51% from the field and has nine steals. Paige O'Neal scores 10.5 points per game and leads team in rebounding (7.5) and assists (8). Whitney Vander Maten also scores 10.5 points per game and is 10th in the NAIA in three-point percentage (67%).
