Northwestern Hosts Nebraska Wesleyan

All-Time...Northwestern leads the all-time series 28-8 and is 22-1 against the Prairie Wolves since the 1999-2000 season.

Scouting Nebraska Wesleyan...The Prairie Wolves bring a 1-5 overall record into Saturday, 0-2 in GPAC play. They lost their first three games of the season to St. Lawrence, Hardin-Simmons and Dakota Wesleyan before defeating Central in a non-conference game, 52-49. Consecutive losses to Wartburg and Midland followed, losing to the Warriors 73-38 on Wednesday night. 

Britni Fett begins her second season as the Nebraska Wesleyan head coach and returns all five starters and nine players off a 2013-14 team that finished 11th in the GPAC with a 1-19 record, 2-23 overall. 

Nebraska Wesleyan is last in the GPAC in scoring, averaging 63 points per game. The Wolves are shooting 37% from the field and 31% from the three-point arc, draining six per game. Defensively, NWU is giving up 76 points per game and is a -6 in rebound margin this season.

Felicia TeKolste is the Prairie Wolves' leading scorer, averaging 19.9 points per game, third best in the conference. The junior also leads the team in rebounding (7.3), fifth most in the GPAC. Sophomore Bridget Bucher returns as a starter after earning all-conference honors last year. Bucher is scoring 10 points per game, shooting an even 50% from the field. Alli Kalal is the team's top perimeter threat with 16 three-pointers, scoring nine points per game.

Northwestern News and Notes...Northwestern overcame a late seven-point deficit to defeat Mount Marty 69-61 Wednesday night for its first conference win of the year. The Red Raiders are 1-3 in the GPAC, 5-4 overall. All four of their losses are to ranked teams.

Northwestern is scoring 77 points per game and ranks second in the GPAC in field goal percentage (44%). The Red Raiders are making five three-pointers per game, shooting 31% from beyond the arc. They are fifth in the conference in rebounding (+5). 

Karen Ettleman leads the GPAC in scoring, averaging 24 points per game, third best in the NAIA. The senior has scored in double figures in every game and recorded her third career double-double last time out against Mount Marty. Ettleman leads the team in rebounding (6.3) and steals (23). Paige O'Neal is averaging nine points per game and is second in the GPAC with 45 assists. Arianne Gesell scores 8.9 points per game and is shooting 68% from the floor. Morgan VanDerSloot (6.4) and Renee Maneman (6.2) are the other top scorers.
