Northwestern won its fourth straight game as they defeated Mount Marty 81-59 in GPAC women's basketball Saturday afternoon. The Raiders improve to 4-0 in the GPAC, 8-4 overall while the Lancers fall to 2-2 in the conference and 8-4 overall.

With the score tied at two, Northwestern scored the next 13 points to take control early against the Lancers. Mount Marty came back to within six (23-17) with seven minutes to play before another NWC run put the hosts up 40-24 at the half.

The Raiders built the lead to 19 points (49-30) early in the second half until another Lancer rally put the score at 63-54 with 8:30 to go. Northwestern, however, held Mount Marty to just five points for the final eight minutes and went on to win 81-59.

NWC shot just below their season average at 48% for the game, 35% from beyond-the-arc. Randa Hulstein led a balanced offensive attack with a career-high 19 points to go with eight rebounds. The connected on 7-of-8 field goal attempts. Becca Hurley netted 15 points on 7-of-11 field goals while Kami Kuhlmann added 12 points. Amy Kallemeyn recorded her first double-double of the season with 11 points and a career-best 12 rebounds. Kristen Neth added six assists for the Raiders.

Northwestern will next host the Pizza Ranch Classic on Dec. 30-31 where they will play Trinity Christian and Northwestern College (Minn.).
