Jensen Boger (Battle Creek, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball and softball careers at Northwestern College next year.
Boger is a 5’11” guard who has lettered three years heading into her senior season for the OA-BCIG girls basketball team. Boger earned all-conference honors as both a sophomore and junior and all-district honors as a junior. She averaged 14 points, 7.7 rebounds and totaled 110 assists in leading her team to a 13-10 record in 2012-13. A member of the National Honor Society, Boger plans to major in elementary education at Northwestern.
“We are really excited to have Jensen join our basketball program,” commented head Northwestern coach Chris Yaw. “She is a young lady of great character who seeks to excel in both the classroom and in athletics. Jensen is a versatile basketball player who can play a number of different positions. We welcome Jensen to the Red Raider family.”
Also a standout for the OA-BCIG softball team, Boger has played four years heading into her final season this summer. Boger hit .386 with seven doubles and 11 stolen bases as a junior, earning first team all-state honors. She also earned all-state honors as a sophomore (2nd) and freshman (HM) while being named all-conference and all-district three straight years. Boger is the daughter of Jeff and Dee.
“Jensen is a great addition to our softball program and Northwestern campus community,” commented head Northwestern softball coach Chris Nachtigall. “She is a strong leader and person of great character while also being an excellent athlete who can play a number of different positions on the field. We are excited to see her continued growth as a leader and softball player at Northwestern.”
