The Event... The Northwestern College women's golf team will play in the fourth and final round of the GPAC Qualifier Championship this Thursday at Two Rivers Golf Club in North Sioux City, S.D. The Red Raiders are scheduled to tee off around 10:40 am. The top team (excluding Nebraska Wesleyan who plays NCAA Division III for the Postseason), along with the medalist, will advance to the NAIA Women's National Golf Championships in May.

Women's SpringThird Round Results... Northwestern shot a third round score of 366 and finished in seventh place out of 10 teams on April 10 at the River Wilds Golf Course in Blair, Neb. They finished six shots in back of fifth place Briar Cliff and 10 strokes behind both Hastings and Dana. Dakota Wesleyan took first with a third-round score of 324 and increased its overall lead to 33 strokes over second place USF. Northwestern remained in seventh place after three rounds with a cumulative total of 1,067, nine shots in back of Briar Cliff.

Maggie Achterhof was the top NWC finisher with a third-round score of 88 (39/49). The junior placed 14th overall and is tied with Allison Zeller (USF) for 14th after three rounds at +38 (255). Sara Horn tied for 17th place by shooting 90 in the third round and moved up to 20th overall at +52 (269). Anne Eberline (92) tied for 23rd place and is also tied for 23rd overall with a three-round score of 277. Rachelle Pedersen (T34-96) and Andria Hinz (T45-104) were the other NWC golfers.

Last Time Out... Northwestern battled through the cold, windy conditions to finish in second place out of four teams at the USF Invite on April 28. The Red Raiders shot a 378 to finish 21 strokes in back of first place USF. Junior Maggie Achterhof carded an 11-over 83 (44/39) to take first place by three shots over second place Michaela Carew (BCU). Sara Horn finished ninth for Northwestern with a 95 and Rachelle Pedersen, Andria Hinz and Kayla Johnson tied for 15th with a 100. Caitlyn DeCock competed as an individual and finished 19th with a 107.

Red Raider Notes...Northwestern is averaging a team score of 354.9 and has finished in the top five in eight events this season. They have two runner-up finishes, including last Maggietime out at the USF Spring Invite. Achterhof leads the team with an 82 stroke average and has seven top 10 finishes this season. The junior earned medalist honors once and has four runner-up finishes as well. Rachelle Pedersen ranks second on the team with a 90.6 scoring average while Andria Hinz (91.4), Anne Eberline (91.8) and Sara Horn (93) round out the NWC line-up.

Thursday's round will be the final event of the season.
