The Event... The Northwestern College women's golf team resumes play this afternoon as they play host to the 10-team Red Raider Invitational at Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City, Iowa. Players will tee off around 1:00 pm.

Teams... Six GPAC teams will take part in the event, including Northwestern, Dana, Dakota Wesleyan, Hastings, Morningside and USF. Waldorf and Iowa Lakes Community College will also compete.

Last Time Out... The Raiders opened the 2009 fall season yesterday at the USF Invite where they finished tied for fourth place out of six teams. NWC tied with Hastings with a 356, two shots in back of third place Dana. USF (326) and Dakota Wesleyan (334) finished first and second.

Maggie Achterhof led the way for Coach Hoftyzer's squad as the junior tied for 11th place with an 87 (43/44). Andria Hinz finished one stroke back with an 88 and placed 14th.

DWU teammates Kelli Baseley and Danielle Bellet finished first and second with a 76 and 78, respectively.

The Lineup... NWC will field two teams and all nine players will compete this afternoon. Achterhof, Hinz, Pedersen, Eberline and Horn will play for the Red while Johnson, DeCock, Van Hove and Ogden will play for the White.

Next up... The Raiders will compete next weekend in the Reiver Fall Classic on Friday and the Dana Invite on Saturday.
