Andria Hinz shot an 87 and tied for 19th place in the second round of the GPAC Championship played yesterday at the Pioneers Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb. The final two rounds will be played in the spring of 2010. 
The sophomore from Cottonwood, Minn. shot a 42 on the front and 45 on the back to finish with a 14-over 87. Hinz moved up one spot and is tied for 20th place overall after two rounds. Three Raiders, Maggie Achterhof, Rachelle Pedersen and Sara Horn, all shot a 90 and tied for 23rd place in the second round. Achterhof is tied for 12th place overall with a two-round score of 167, 22 shots in back of the overall leader, Danielle Bellet (148). Horn is in 23rd place with a two-round total of 179. Anne Eberline shot a 96, tied for 38th place and stands in 28th place overall.
As a team, Northwestern shot a second-round total of 357 and finished seventh, three shots in back of both Morningside and Briar Cliff who tied for fifth with a 354. The Raiders fell back to seventh overall with a score of 701, three shots in back of Briar Cliff. Dakota Wesleyan extended their first round lead with a 311 in the second round, 17 shots ahead of second place USF. Hastings is in third place and stands 59 shots back with a 690.
The final two rounds of the GPAC Championship will be held in the spring. This ends the fall season for Coach Hoftyzer's squad.
