May 14 Women's Golf Team Announces End-of-the-Year Awards
The Northwestern College women's golf team announced their end-of-the-year awards and Melissa Hisel (Boise, Idaho) earned team MVP honors for the third straight year. Hisel, a four-year letter winner, led the team with an 87.3 stroke average and finished in the top 10 in four of the nine meets she competed in. She earned all-conference honors for the fourth consecutive season.


Apr 30 Northwestern Places Fifth at Region III Championships
The Northwestern College women's golf team finished in fifth place out of seven teams at the 2008 NAIA Region III Championships played at the Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Red Raiders shot a two-day total of 714, eight shots in back of both Dana and Hastings who tied for third with a 706.

Apr 26 Hinz To Play Golf For Northwestern College
Andria Hinz (Cottonwood, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue her golf career at Northwestern next fall.


Apr 24 Briar Cliff Women's Golf Invite Cancelled
The women's golf meet scheduled for today in Sioux City,hosted by Briar Cliff, has been canceled due to the weather. The Red Raiders will next compete in regional meet hosted by USF at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. The two-day event will begin on Monday, April 28 and will conclude on Tuesday, April 29.


Apr 23 Women's Golf Team Crowned Co-Champions at USF
The Northwestern College women's golf team was crowned co-champions at the USF Women's Golf Spring Invitational played in Sioux Falls, S.D. Coach Hoftyzer's squad shot a team total of 351 and tied with Hastings for the team championship.


Apr 18 Women's Golf Meet Cancelled
The meet has been cancelled due to the rain and cold weather.


Apr 9 USF Invite Postponed
The USF Invitational scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at Elmwood Golf Club has been postponed to April 22. The Red Raider women's golf team was one of several teams slated to compete.


Apr 3 Women's Golf Heads to Hastings
The Northwestern women's golf team hits the links for the first time this spring, heading to Hastings, Neb. for the Hastings College Invite. Last fall, Northwestern qualified for the NAIA Region III Championships and they will participate in that tournament April 28th.


Nov 7 Hisel Earns Women's Golf All-Conference Honors
Melissa Hisel, a senior from Boise, Idaho, was named to the 2007 GPAC Women's Golf All-Conference team. This is the fourth consecutive year in which Hisel has earned the league honor. She carried an 86.3 stroke average this fall and finished in the top 10 in four meets.

The Northwestern women's golf team finished fourth at the GPAC Championships in Lincoln, Nebr.


Oct 11 Raiders Travel To Lincoln For GPAC Meet
The women's golf team heads to Lincoln, Nebr. for the GPAC Championships today and tomorrow.  Northwestern is coming off of a third place finish at the Briar Cliff Lila Frommelt Classic in Sioux City.


Sep 22 Northwestern Finishes Third at BCU/Lila Formmelt Classic
Northwestern finished in third place Friday, behind two top ten finishers, Melissa Hisel and Carrie Spree, who both tied for seventh shooting a 170.

Melissa Hisel medaled at the Dakota Wesleyan Invite, scoring a 87 and finishing in ninth place Tuesday afternoon.
