Johnson to Play Golf at Northwestern

Kayla Johnson (Astoria, S.D.) has recently signed a letter of intent to play golf at Northwestern next fall.Johnson

Johnson was a four-year letterwinner who played for the Deabrook Area Schools girls golf team. She placed fourth at the Dakota Valley Conference Championships and helped lead her team to the conference championship. An outstanding student, Johnson was a member of the National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Todd and Mary.

“Having Kayla on next year’s squad is very exciting,” commented head coach Harold Hoftyzer. “We believe Kayla has the ability t contribute and play in the competitive GPAC women’s golf conference. Besides her golf ability, we think Kayla has the opportunity to contribute positively on our campus and classroom.”
