Carrie Spree and Maggie Achterhof earned first team all-conference in women's golf as announced by the GPAC office earlier today.
Spree, a senior from Parkersburg, Iowa, was the top finisher for the Raiders at the GPAC Championship, coming in 11th place out of over 50 golfers and missing out of the top 10 by just two strokes. Spree carried an 87.4 average this past season, second best on the team, and finished in the top 10 in six meets this season. Her best finish was in the fourth and final round of the GPAC Championship where she tied for second with an 85.
Achterhof, a sophomore from Orange City, Iowa, led the team with an 87.2 stroke average. She earned overall medalist honors in two events this season and was runner-up medalist in another meet. Achterhof placed in the top 10 in six of her starts and in the top 25 in all 10 of the events she started.
The Raiders completed this past golf season with a third place finish at the GPAC Championships.
