Kate Buyert (Hull, Iowa) has signed letters of intent to continue her basketball career at Northwestern College beginning in the fall of 2008. Buyert

Buyert, the daughter of Dan and Laurie, is a 6’0” forward for Hull Western Christian. She helped lead the Wolfpack to the class 2A state tournament and a 15-11 record as a junior. She averaged 11.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.4 blocks and 2.6 steals per contest. Buyert earned second team all-Lakes conference honors as a sophomore and junior and has scored 611 points and grabbed 553 rebounds in her career. A member of the National Honor Society, Buyert plans to major in sports medicine/physical education at Northwestern.
