Melannie Babcock (Orange City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball and basketball careers at Northwestern College next fall. Babcock

Babcock is a 6’0” post player who earned three letters for MOC-Floyd Valley High School. She averaged a team-best 11.5 points and eight rebounds last season. Babcock earned first team all-Siouxland Conference honors as a senior.A member of the National Honor Society, Babcock plans to major in physical education or art education at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Marv and Debby.

“Melannie is an athletic post player who has made great improvements as a basketball player,” commented Head Basketball Coach Earl Woudstra. “She has great up-side as a player and we are looking forward to her continued development on the court. Melannie is an outstanding young lady who will be a great fit for Northwestern College.”
