Northwestern shot better than 60% from the field and recorded an impressive 91-48 road win over Dana Saturday afternoon in GPAC women's basketball. The Red Raiders won their fourth straight game and improved to 12-2 in the GPAC, 21-3 overall.
Leading 39-24 at the half, Northwestern outscored Dana 27-8 at the start of the second half to take a commanding 66-34 lead with 10 minutes to go. The Raiders shot an impressive 66% in the second half and outscored the Vikings 54-16 in the paint.
Three Red Raiders scored in double figures, led by Kendra DeJong and Becca Hurley with 14 points each. Randa Hulstein added 13 points while Mallory Cunard scored a career-high nine points off the Raider bench. Northwestern outrebounded Dana 39-24, led by Hurley (8) and Hulstein (7). Hurley dished out five assists and Hulstein and Allison Hulst dished out four each.
Coach Woudstra's squad will host Morningside on Feb. 10 in the Bultman Center.
