Peters is a 5’9” guard who lettered three years for the George-Little Rock basketball team. She averaged 10.2 points, four rebounds and three assists in helping lead her team to a 23-4 record and a state semifinal finish in class 1A. Peters earned all-conference and all-Northwest Iowa honors as both a junior and senior. She was also named to the state all-tournament team as a senior. Peters is the schools record holder in career assists and points in a game (31).
“Patrice is a young lady with great character who enjoyed success at George-Little Rock High School,” commented head coach Earl Woudstra. “She has proven to be an unselfish player who is a consistent, perimeter shooter and can also attack the basket. We look forward to having Patrice join us at Northwestern. We are confident that she will make significant contributions to the basketball program and to the campus community.”
A three-year letter winner and third baseman in softball, Peters batted .241 with three stolen bases as a junior. A member of the honor roll, Peters plans to major in special education at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Kennis and Sandra.
“Patrice is a very good athlete who is a proven winner at the high school level,” commented head coach Dave Hulsart. “She is a welcome addition to our softball program and Northwestern campus community.”
