2008 Volleyball Team Camp§ Each team will be guaranteed four matches each day. § Play would begin Friday (Noon – 9:00 p.m.) and continue on Saturday (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) § Matches will consist of two games to 21 with a running clock. § Teams must consist of players going into grades 9-12, but schools may enter more than one team, which should allow for some variety in levels of play (i.e. – South High A, South High B). In order to keep the competitive level high and to facilitate fair scheduling, it is preferred that any 2nd team consists mainly of varsity reserves or talented younger players. § The cost will be $30 per player. Obviously each team must have at least six players. § A T-shirt will be given to each player who participates. Please specify T-shirt size for each player and coach. § Each team must have an adult coach present at all matches. § Coaches, please indicate where your team fits so you can play competition that is comparable to your team: Division 1 – top division, you are one of the top teams in your area. Division 2 – your team is a good varsity team. Division 3 - maybe you have an inexperienced team, or your second team. § With the excellent facilities available, 30 teams will be allowed to participate. § NorthwesternCollegewill provide referees and a scorekeeper. § Teams will be responsible for all travel, housing and meal arrangements. § Individual players are allowed to play 8 matches/16 games maximum. Interested teams should return the enclosed form. A team’s acceptance into the Summer Invite will be confirmed. Lodging and eating information will be sent also.
