Fifth-ranked Northwestern defeated Nebraska Wesleyan in GPAC volleyball this evening, 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-20). The Red Raiders have won 12 straight matches and remain unbeaten in the GPAC at 11-0, 25-2 overall. Nebraska Wesleyan falls to 6-5 in the GPAC, 16-7 overall. Hillary Hanno and Randa Hulstein totaled 15 kills each as Northwestern hit .274 for the match and limited Nebraska Wesleyan to just .105. Northwestern totaled 23 blocks, led by Hulstein with nine. Bobbie jean Rich added three kills and five blocks. Kaitlin Beaver lofted up 42 assists in the win. Kristin Kooima added three ace serves and Delainye Woudstra registered a team-best 10 digs and went 12-for-12 from the service line. Nebraska Wesleyan was led by Laura Brammeier and Brittny Barber with seven kills each. Brammeier added 12 digs. Coach Van Den Bosch's squad plays host to Doane tomorrow night at 5:00pm in the final home match of the regular season. It will be both parent's night and senior night.
