Sixth-ranked Northwestern improved to 4-0 in the conference with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-22) win over the University of Sioux Falls in GPAC volleyball Tuesday night. The Red Raiders are now 14-2 overall while USF fell to 11-9, 1-2 in the GPAC.

Northwestern hit .386 for the match and jumped out to a 25-12 win in the first set. The Raiders hit .600 in set one (16/25) and stormed out to a 21-11 lead before closing with the final four points.

In the second set, the Raiders took control early with a 5-1 lead before USF battled back to within one, 14-13. Northwestern scored the next four points, however, en route to the 25-20 win.

USF held its largest lead early in the third set (11-7) forcing Northwestern into a timeout. The Raiders stormed back to tie it at 12 and grabbed their first lead at 16-15. With the score tied at 21, NWC scored four of the next five points to win the match.

Northwestern was led by Hillary Hanno who totaled 15 kills and hit .481 for the match. Randa Hulstein and Rylee Hulstein pounded down 12 and 10 kills, respectively while Kaitlin Beaver lofted up 40 assists. Rylee Hulstein totaled a team-high 12 digs while Delainye Woudstra and Janna Bloemendaal added 11 digs each.

USF was led by Amber Sneller with eight kills, six assists and six digs. Danielle Roers added five kills for USF, which hit .084 for the match.

Northwestern heads to the Bellevue Classic this weekend where they will play four matches in two days.
