Northwestern defeated William Penn 3-1 in the first match of the Pizza Shack Invitational at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Individual game scores were 25-21, 21-25, 25-17 and 25-9. The Red Raiders will play Missouri Baptist this evening at 7:00 pm to conclude pool play. They will then play tomorrow in a single elimination, four-team tournament based on the results of today's matches. Kaitlin Beaver and Kate Buyert led the Red Raiders with 12 kills each and Rylee Hulstein added 11. Rachel Gosselink lofted up a season-high 42 assists while Janna Bloemendaal led the team with 19 digs. Pizza Shack Classic
