Grand View at Northwestern

The Red Raider volleyball team defeated Grand View in three straight sets, 25-7, 25-17 and 25-15, to improve to 3-0 this season. Grand View closes the tournament with a 1-3 record.

Northwestern soared out to a huge, 25-7, win in game one behind the superior hitting of the front line. The Red Raiders hit .467 in game one, with 17 kills in 30 chances. The Red Raiders continued their efficiency in games two and three as they cruised to the straight set win. They hit .366 for the match, totaled 10 blocks and served 92%.

Hillary Hanno led the offense with 13 kills in 26 chances while both Randa and Rylee Hulstein added nine kills each. Rylee recorded a team-best three blocks, all solo, while both Randa and Bobbie jean Rich added two. Kaitlin Beaver lofted 38 assists and served three aces while Janna Bloemendaal recorded 16 digs.

Northwestern will play #23 Olivet Nazarene for their final match of the tournament.
