Kate Buyert (Hull, Iowa) has signed letters of intent to continue her volleyball and basketball careers at Northwestern College beginning in the fall of 2008.

Buyert, the daughter of Dan and Laurie, is a 6’0” middle hitter for Hull Western Christian. In two years on the varsity, Buyert has totaled 628 kills, 193 blocks and has served 90%. She has helped lead her team to a 88-12 record over that span, including the Class 2A State Championship in 2007 and runner-up finish in 2006. Buyert earned 1^st team all-state honors honors as a junior (2006) and 3^rd team honors in 2005. She was also named to the all-tournament team at state and is a two-year all-conference player.
