Meyer Earns All-American Honors

Megan Meyer earned second team NAIA All-American honors for her play in 2007. The senior from Aplington, Iowa, averaged a team-best 3.7 kills per game and hit .240 for the season. Meyer also recorded 3.7 digs per game, 49 blocks and posted a serve receive percentage of 91%. She was also named GPAC Player-of-the-Year and first team all-Region III. Meyer closes her career third all-time in kills and is the all-time leader in digs with 1,758. She will also rank in the top five in kills per game and digs per game.

Meyer was part of a Red Raider team that finished with a 31-12 overall record and earned a national tournament berth for the second consecutive season and seventh all-time. Northwestern advanced out of pool play with a 2-1 record, defeated seventh-seeded Columbia to advance to the quarterfinal round. They then lost to #2 Cal. Baptist in three games to end their season.
