Beaver hit a team-best .285 in the five matches at the championships and was second on the team with 55 kills. She also served a team-best 12 aces, ranked second on the team with 17 blocks and had 47 digs. Beaver was one of just two underclassmen on the 14-member team.

To be named a scholar athlete a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify. Northwestern was one of 118 schools to have a representative and there were 272 women named to the prestigious list. Meyer earned the honor of the second consecutive year.
