Assistant Coach


Coach Schutt begins her third season as an assistant coach for the Red Raiders.

A ‘95 NWC graduate, Schutt was a member of the Northwestern volleyball squad from 1991-94. One of the Red Raiders’ most prolific athletes, she was the NAIA Player of the Year in 1992 & 1994 and played on the ’92 national quarterfinalist squad. During her tenure here, volleyball teams qualified for the national tournament every year except ’93. Schutt was a third team All-American her freshman season and earned first team All-American honors her sophomore through senior years. Schutt finished the 1992 campaign with a .474 kill efficiency, ranking her first in the NW record books. She ranks eighth in the NAIA in career kills (2,483), fourth in kill efficiency (.445) and posted 28 matches with over 20 kills. She is fourth all-time in career blocks, fifth in digs and third in ace serves. Schutt was inducted into NWC’s Hall of Fame in 2000.

The controller at CIVCO in Orange City, Schutt and her husband, Bruce, have two children: Brady and Jadeyn.
