Jesse Selgeby (Rock Rapids, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field career at Northwestern College next year. Earlier this year, he signed a letter of Selgeby intent to play football for the Raiders.

Selgeby is a 5’10” sprinter who has lettered three years for the West Lyon track and field team. As a junior, Selgeby was crowned state champion in the 100m dash, placed fourth in the 4x100 relay and third as a member of the 4x200 relay team. Selgeby was named most improved and the most valuable athlete as a junior and played a key part in his team’s second place finish at state in 2008 and 2009. He boasts personal bests of 10.6 in the 100m and 22.9 in the 200m. A member of the honor roll, he is the son of Jeff and Kelly.

I look forward to him having a great senior season and believe he can have an immediate impact on our young sprint crew.”
