Brian Stai (Inwood, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field career at Northwestern College next year. He has Stai already committed to play football for the Red Raiders in the fall.

Stai lettered three years for the West Lyon track and field team. The 6’2” sprinter was a two-time state qualifier and was a member of the shuttle hurdle relay and distance medley teams that established new school records. Stai helped lead both the shuttle hurdle and distance medley teams to second place finishes at state this past year. He also placed third in the 4x200m and fourth in the 4x100 relays. Stai earned both all-conference and all-district honors and was an honor roll student. He is the son of Gerry and Mary.

“Brian has experienced great success during his high school career,” commented head coach Nate Wolf. “He is a very versatile athlete and will compete well in the sprint events.”
