Sierra Gross (Spirit Lake, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Northwestern College next year.
Gross is in her fourth and final season competing for Spirit Lake High School. Gross placed fifth at the Sioux City Relays and third at districts in the 100m hurdles last spring as a junior. She also competes in the 400m hurdles and several sprint relays. Gross plans to major in Nursing at Northwestern and is the daughter of Matthew Gross and Tracey Christensen.
“We are happy to have Sierra join our Red Raider track and field team next year,” commented Northwestern track and field coach Scott Bahrke. “She is a great hurdler and will add depth to our women’s hurdle crew. Sierra is a determined athlete who will make those around her better. I believe she will continue to excel in college, both on the track and in her academic work.”
