Qualifiers Posted For NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships

The NAIA announced the official qualifiers for the 2017 Indoor Track and Field Championship earlier today. The 52nd annual men's and 37th annual women's events will take place next week, March 2-4, in Johnson City, Tenn.

Northwestern College will send 17 athletes to compete in 10 events, seven individual and three relays. Rebekah Muilenburg (600m), Katie Landhuis (800) and Katie Bosch (1000m) will compete individually for the women's team and will also be part of the 4x800 relay, joining Bre Harthoorn and Kylie Van't Hul. 

For the men's team, Aaron Lemon (600m), Peter Hollinger (800m), Tim Rose (Mile), along with Jordan Strand and Calvin Korver (Heptathlon), will compete as individuals. Two relays, the 4x800 and Distance Medley, will also compete on the national stage. The 4x800 could consist of; Bryce Nitzsche, Caleb Benzing, Sean Crowell, Hans Epp, Peter Hollinger, Tim Rose, Tanner Goetsch and Aaron Lemon. The distance medley will be a combination of Rose, Hollinger, Goetsch, Lemon, Benzing, Epp, Levi TeBrink and Austin Krier

The championships will get underway at noon on Thursday, March 2 at noon.
