Bowar Places Second at the NWC Multi-Event

Northwestern hosted a multi-event meet at the Rowenhorst Student Center last night and Shannon Bowar finished second overall out of four athletes. The sophomore from Bowar Faulkton, S.D. totaled 2,327 points after the five events and finished just behind the overall winner, Karina Wieringa (Dordt). Bowar placed second in the 800m (2:53.25), 55m hurdles (9.3) and long jump (4.55m) and then finished third in the shot put (7.23). She placed fourth in the high jump (1.32m).
