Wolf, Northwestern’s track and field skipper, also serves as Northwestern’s assistant cross country coach. He states, “Coaching at Northwestern offers a unique opportunity to be part of an athletic department that places an emphasis on the process of sport above performance. This allows the coaching staff to teach the athlete their worth beyond the stopwatch and tape measure.” Wolf began his coaching tenure in 2004 and serves as both the head track and field and assistant cross country coach. In 2008, Wolf led the women’s team to a fourth place finish at the GPAC Indoor Championships and tied for ninth at the NAIA Indoor Championships, the best ever finish in the programs history. Five members of the women’s team earned NAIA Indoor All-American honors under his guidance in 2007 and Wolf was named the GPAC Women’s Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year. During his tenure as head of the track and field programs, 13 different athletes have earned All-American honors. In addition, 35 athletes have been named NAIA Scholar Athlete under Wolf. Wolf graduated from Northwestern in 2003 in which he lettered in both cross country and track and field four years. He served as captain for both teams during his senior year and earned team MVP honors in cross country as a junior and senior. Wolf also qualified for nationals in track and field in the mile and 3,000m runs. Aside from his coaching duties, Wolf teaches in the Kinesiology department at Northwestern. He and his wife, Lori, reside in Orange City.
