The Event... The Northwestern track and field teams will send a limited number of athletes to compete at the "Last Chance" Invite hosted by the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, S.D. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 pm with the field events while running events get underway at 2:00 pm.
Entries... 11 Raider athletes will compete in 12 events and attempt to qualify one last time for the NAIA Outdoor National Meet in two weeks. In the field events, Heidi Hildebrandt will compete in the triple jump and Lucas Peterson and Craig Menke will be in the long jump and pole vault, respectively. In the running events, Brady McNellis and Kasey Summerer will run in the 100m dash. Summerer will then run the open 400. Steph Powell and Teresa Scholten will run the 3000m steeplechase and 400m dash. Scholten will also run the 800m. Nick Bray will run the open 800m and Corrie Fautsch will run the 400m hurdles. Breann Rozeboom, Steph Powell and Sarah Storm will all compete in the 5000m.
