Kaitlyn VanderBroek (Fairview, South Dakota) has signed a letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Northwestern beginning this fall.
VanderBroek, the daughter of Dan and Lori, is a 5-5 discus thrower for Canton High School. She has earned two varsity letters while competing for coach Lindsy Nolte. Her best performance came when she launched a 116'0" throw in the discus.
VanderBroek plans to major in History Education at Northwestern.
"It is great Kaitlyn has decided to join our program," commented track coach Nate Wolf. "She is a very passionate individual with a great work ethic. She has the potential to be a very good thrower for us and will focus primarily on the discus, hammer, and weight throw in college."
