Red Raiders Shine After Day One of Doane Relays

Northwestern track and field squads concluded day one at the Doane Relays yesterday (Friday) and seven Red Raiders turned in top five performances in their respective events. Charity Miles highlighted the day with a first place finish in the 10,000m run, setting a new meet record and qualifying for nationals with a time of 38:27. Teammates Sara Hess and Ingrid Carlson placed third and fourth with times of 41:10 and 41:26, respectively. Breann Rozeboom placed third in the 5000m with a time of 19:42. The women's 4x800 relay team took first and qualified for nationals with a time of 9:27.7.

In men's action, Danny Owens placed fifth in the 5000m with a time of 16:33.77. Jon Woehl and Anthony Ebert placed third and fourth in the 10,000m with times of 34:19.9 and 34:42.2, respectively.

All other events will get underway Saturday morning starting at 11:00 am.
