Chad Van Ravenswaay (Sioux Center, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field career at Northwestern College next year. He also will be a member of the Red Raider football team in the fall as announced in an earlier press release.
Van Ravenswaay is a 6’3”, 260-pound thrower who earned three letters for the Unity Christian track and field squad. He placed eighth last year at the state meet in the shot put and boasts personal bests of 51’11” ½ in the shot put and 130’ in the discus. Van Ravenswaay plans to major in psychology at Northwestern and is the son of Rod and Laura.
“Chad is an outstanding athlete,” commented Head Coach Nate Wolf. “He has the potential to compete well at both the conference and national levels. I’m excited he has decided to join our track and field program.”
