Jeremy Sheppard (Golden Valley, Minn.) has signed letters of intent to continue his track and field and  football careers at Northwestern College.

Sheppard is a 5’10”, 155-pound running back/safety who lettered two seasons for the Heritage Christian Academy football team. He holds the school record for interceptions. An honors student, Sheppard plans to major in athletic training at Northwestern.

“Jeremy is an athletic football player with skills that will help him both on offense and defense,” commented Head Coach Orv Otten. “He will begin his career at Northwestern as a defensive back but he may have opportunities to play wide receiver as well.”

Sheppard earned seven all-conference and one all-state awards in track and field. The three-year letter winner was a member of a 4x200 relay team which placed third at the state meet. Sheppard was also a member of the 4x100 relay team and ran in the sprinting events. He is the son of Kevin and Lois.

“I’m excited Jeremy has decided to join our track and field program,” commented Head Coach Nate Wolf. “He is a very hard worker and will provide depth in the sprints and relays.”
