She helped lead the Wildcats to back-to-back winning seasons the last two years, including a 41-win campaign in 2009 in which Wayne State qualified for its first-ever regional tournament. Prior to her stint at Wayne State, Kuhl enjoyed an outstanding playing career for South Dakota State University. A four-year starter, Kuhl finished as the program’s all-time leader in home runs and RBIs. She also holds the single-season records for both home runs and RBIs. Kuhl graduated from South Dakota State in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in health, physical education and recreation. She then earned her master’s degree in sports management in 2009 from Wayne State. Kuhl is also currently in her second year as a promotions intern for the Sioux City Explorers baseball club, where she assists in on-field promotions, ticket sales, travel arrangements and game-day preparations.
